Trauma and PTSD Recovery (EMDR Trained)
Healing Is Possible
Trauma can leave lasting emotional, physical, and psychological imprints—but it does not have to define your life. Whether your experiences stem from a single event or prolonged exposure to distress, healing is possible with the right support.
I offer trauma-informed therapy in a safe, compassionate space where you can process your experiences at your own pace and begin to regain a sense of control, safety, and empowerment.
Understanding Trauma & Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Trauma affects everyone differently. You may be experiencing symptoms such as:
- Intrusive memories, flashbacks, or nightmares
- Anxiety, panic, or hypervigilance
- Emotional numbness or disconnection
- Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe
- Shame, guilt, or self-blame
- Trouble sleeping or concentrating
These responses are your mind and body’s way of trying to protect you.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach designed to help the brain process and integrate traumatic memories.
EMDR works by:
- Reducing the emotional intensity of distressing memories
- Reprocessing past experiences so they feel less overwhelming
- Helping you develop healthier beliefs about yourself
- Supporting lasting relief without needing to relive every detail
EMDR can be especially effective for PTSD, complex trauma, childhood trauma, and other distressing life experiences.
Areas of Support
My trauma therapy services support individuals dealing with:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Childhood trauma and attachment wounds
- Abuse (emotional, physical, and/or sexual)
- Accidents, injuries, or medical trauma
- Grief and loss
- Relationship trauma
- Chronic stress and burnout
Method
I understand that trauma recovery is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is:
- Trauma-informed – Prioritizing safety, choice, and empowerment
- Client-centered – Moving at your pace, never rushing the process
- Evidence-based – Integrating EMDR with other proven therapeutic methods
- Compassionate and collaborative – Building trust every step of the way
You remain in control of your healing journey. I am here to offer guidance and support at your pace.
A Path Toward Relief and Resilience
